What's in a name?

Back in the 7th century, an Anglo Saxon named Bernulf decided to settle in a beautiful area of what became known as England.

Later, this "wick" or place was recorded as Bernulf's Wick (bernulfesuuic) in the Domesday Book and over the years the town has become known as Barnoldswick.

Although we operate in many areas of the UK, Bernulf's Place reflects the Old English roots of our home town.

We're based in Barnoldswick, on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border in the north of England.
